The National Library of Medicine offers this excellent searchable database of medical treatment research programs covering a wide range of health topics including physical and mental health. The listed research projects are recruiting patients for participation. Type in the condition you're interested in into the search box and read out the studies, complete with who to contact. In general, study related testing and medications are provided at no cost, and participants are compensated.
Newswise maintains a comprehensive database of news releases from top institutions engaged in scientific, medical and business research. The friendly interface allows you to flexibly search, browse or download any article or abstract.
BioMedSearch is a biomedical search engine that contains NIH/PubMed documents, plus a large collection of theses, dissertations, and other publications not found anywhere else for free. In addition to free-form search, users can search based on Author, Journal Title, Publication Date, the Language in which the article was published (many non-English articles have English language abstracts), MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) and more.
