Easy Yoga is a little book of yoga postures with five different sessions:
Full-length sequence (21 postures, 45 minutes)
Energize sequence (12 postures, 20 minutes)
Unwind sequence (12 postures)
Wake-up sequence (6 postures)
Let Go sequence (6 postures)
Each posture is shown on one double-page with instructions on the left hand page and a hand-drawn illustration on the right. The first two sequences include rather disturbing images of how one's internal organs should be positioned in the various postures. The rationale given for this is that it shows how the postures massage one's organs, and the text for each posture gives additional information. For example, the pelvic tilt stimulates the thyroid and expands the lungs and the locust stimulates the liver, kidney and intestines. I'd have been happy to have only the text with the information about the internal organs. The sequences themselves seem good, and it is possible to follow each since they are printed as a whole on the inside of the book cover which one can unfold. The information in the book matches that available in other yoga sources. Easy Yoga might be useful for someone travelling who would like to have some sequences to follow when it would be inconvenient to use a larger book or follow a DVD.
