SEABHS Youth & Family Services Mission Statement **************************** SEABHS strives to provide youth and family services that are family-centered and strength-based. Services are delivered collaboratively, building on individual, family, and community assets. As youth and families face challenges such as depression, anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, domestic violence, substance abuse, divorce and adjustment issues, support may be needed. SEABHS can provide behavioral health services such as counseling, educational groups and medical care to address needs as they arise from these and other issues. These services can help improve communication, strengthen relationships, reduce conflict and empower families. YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES ************************** INTAKE/ASSESSMENT: Children and their families begin services with an interview with a clinician to determine what services may be available to assist the child and family. INDIVIDUAL, FAMILY, AND GROUP THERAPY: Interactive therapy provided on an individual, family, and/or group basis to assist in meeting the needs of the child and family. CASE MANAGEMENT: These services may include telephone contact, transportation, coordination with other service providers, etc. SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES: These services may include individual/family therapy, educational and relapse prevention groups, and coordination with other agencies involved with the child and family. INFANT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES: These services are crucial in identifying and intervening with potential problems early on. PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES: SEABHS provides psychiatric evaluations, medications, and medication monitoring when determined to be necessary as a part of the child's treatment. CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES: Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES **************************** RESPITE CARE: Temporary, supervised services which may be used to provide rest and relief to the child and/or caregiver. HOME-BASED SERVICES: Family therapy and case management services provided in the child and family's home. SCHOOL-BASED SERVICES: Individual and group therapy, along with case management services provided in the school in coordination with the family and school personnel. REHABILITATION SERVICES: Includes health promotion, family support, living skills training, and personal assistance. PREVENTION: Prevention services are offered across all four counties by the SEABHS New Turf Staff. Services include the mentor program, youth advocate program (YA!), and many trainings. WRAPAROUND FACILITATION: Staff are available to assist families and other community agencies train and develop strengths-based, child and family-centered wrap plans.
